The Mammut mover is optimally suited for mounting under caravans from 2010 that are fitted with an M stamped into the chassis. There is no loss of ground clearance, which can be a big advantage for lots of caravans. A fitted Mammut M-20 only weighs 32 kg. The difference in weight becomes clear when we look at the AL-KO Vario chassis with M, where a mounting plate of 5 kg is needed to fit other movers. You need to add this to the weight of the mover.
The AL-KO Mammut mover is for caravans with less ground clearance and with the new M embossed Vario chassis. Other caravan mover models cause a loss of ground clearance of 5-6 cm (Reich/Truma) up to 9 cm (Go2 and other brands) for caravans with the Vario chassis. By comparison, the AL-KO Mammut mover's ideal suitability for caravans with the Vario M chassis means that this degree of loss of ground clearance, along with the problems associated with having little ground clearance, is avoided.
